He warns her that if she doesn't pay up he will be to send his boys round to deal with her. Lydia asks if there is anything she can do to earn a few more weeks to pay. The lender decides he will agree to one final extension if she does two things for him; she must first take off her clothes in front of him and let him see her naked, and then she must go outside while naked. Lydia rebels at this idea because it is freezing cold outside and snow is on the ground. The lender insists, leaving Lydia no choice other than to strip and goes outside in the snow naked.

Lydia has arrived home to discover a burglar who has taken possession of her cash and jewelry. In order to make a clean getaway, the intruder needs to ensure that Lydia will not be able to raise the alarm and alert the police. To this end, he hands her rope and tells her to tie herself up. She is made to tie her ankles and her thighs, then pass rope from the bath of the chair around her body, securing her to the seat. Next, he makes her push a cloth into her mouth then cover her lips it in with several layers of duct tape. The intruder has secured handcuffs to the back of the chair, and his final instruction to Lydia is for her to close the bracelets around her own wrists. He checks that the cuffs are tight enough, then departs the house with his spoils, leaving Lydia bound and gagged and unable to free herself.

Five years ago, Lydia served on a jury that put away Asher, a repeat offender. To her, it is the distant past and she doesn't give it a single thought as she sniffs the perfume of flowers in her garden. To Asher, recently released and now watching her from the cover of nearby trees, it feels like only yesterday that this bitch screwed up his life. He grabs Lydia and ties her up in her living room. She tries to explain that she did not vote guilty, but he doesn't believe a word of it and ties a gag around her head, muting her protests. Left alone, Lydia uses the opportunity to inch her way towards the front door. She can't get far hogtied, but if she can only get outdoors, maybe someone will see her and realize she needs help. Before she gets there, however, Asher discovers what she is doing. He takes her outside and ties her to a chair in the woods, gagging her to silence her protests. He leaves her there for a while before taking her deeper into the woods and tying her to a tree, arms above her head. Satisfied with his victim in this new predicament, Asher gags her one last time before he leaves. Lydia pulls at the rope binding her wrists, but it's very secure. She's trapped in the wilderness to await her fate. For Asher, it's one juror down and eleven to go.

A tax inspector has come to visit Lydia to discuss how she might start repaying off the very large debt she owes the IRS. She claims she will need an extension in order to pay, but the inspector points out that she has already had two, and that a third is seldom, if ever, granted. Lydia insists that she can't pay her debt off without it. The inspector says it is out of the question... unless, that is, she is willing to take off her clothes in front of him and allow him to see her naked. Lydia is mortified by the idea, but realizing it is her only way out of a tight spot, she reluctantly agrees. She follows the man's instructions as he tells her which item of clothing to remove, one after another, until she is wearing nothing at all. While he prepares the paperwork, he tells her to sit down and remain naked while he works. And, by the way, would she also sit with her legs apart.

She decides to make her escape while still tied up, and hops to the front door and out onto the deck, hoping that someone will see her dire situation and come to help. Ford sees what she is doing and quickly grabs her for a second time. He takes her to his basement and suspends her from the ceiling to ensure she will not be hopping out of the house again.
