The three demons stood at the foot of my bed like they had been waiting for me to wake up.

And there I was, frozen beneath my blankets, unable to move, caught between terror and the strange, magnetic beauty of three figures who seemed to belong to a world that only revealed itself when the night had its hold on me. The most unsettling part wasn't that they looked like demons. It was that they looked as though they had come specifically for me.
