making a first impression
I felt a little off this morning, but I have a job interview with you and I didn't want to miss it, so I gathered my strength and went to meet you in the hope that I would leave a good first impression and get a job.
I walk into your office, shake hands with you, and sit on a chair. I try to prevent my cough, but it doesn't work. I take a sip of water and try to recover. Unfortunately, I can't do that and I'm coughing right in your face again. My coughing is unstoppable and I am constantly trying to clear my throat, but I keep coughing. During the cough breaks, I try to say a good word about myself and in the end I hope that I managed to impress you, after all you can conclude how much this job would mean to me because I came to the interview sick.
