? **#120 The Secret Ingredient** ?
Student Mei is busy trying to get through school when she comes across an intriguing job advertisement online. The position is looking for someone with experience handling PPE, working in isolated environments, and completing tasks independently. The job involves working in a laboratory to fabricate a specialized medical substance intended to help the surgeon's patients with their unusual conditions.
Interested in the opportunity, Student Mei decides to apply. Before long, she finds herself working in the lab, following a set of instructions provided by a mysterious surgeon-scientist. She's told exactly what to do, but she's never given the full picture. She doesn't know what she's making, what the ingredients are ultimately intended for, or what the surgeon has planned for her work.
Student Mei focuses on completing her assignment, believing she's contributing to something that could help patients in need. But there's something much darker happening behind the scenes.
As the story unfolds, the truth is revealed: the substance Student Mei has been fabricating is an obedience serum. The evil surgeon has been using it on her patients to make them instantly obedient, then selling them on the market for her own gain.
Student Mei thought she was helping advance medical science. She never realized what she was really helping create.
