A Ruthless Boss AVI
My car was in the shop, so I walked to work that morning. The walking conditions weren't great, and since I was wearing high-heeled sandals, it was no surprise when I twisted my ankle. A sharp pain shot through my body, but I fought through it and lame the rest of the way to work. Finally, I was able to relax; I took off my sandal and propped my injured foot up on the desk. Just then, my boss walked in and asked what had happened. He left the room and returned with a bandage, wrapping my ankle tightly; then, he handed me some mail and told me to deliver it to the various addresses. I objected, explaining that I couldn't do it because of my injured foot. He simply replied that work is work and brought me a pair of crutches. I had no choice but to take the crutches and head out to make the deliveries, fighting through the pain with my bandaged foot and wearing only one sandal.
