My Ex's Mesmerizing Necklace
Three years earlier, a black-and-white flashback follows the camera through Audrey’s townhouse to the rooftop terrace, where Audrey and her boyfriend share a tender moment. When he proposes a one-sided open relationship, she angrily rejects the idea, breaks up with him, and throws him out. As she curls up alone on her bed, a seductive inner voice—sounding like her own but far more interested in the proposed arrangement—echoes unheard.
It is now 3 years later as Audrey leaves a restaurant after dinner with friends and bumps into her ex. After an awkward reunion she invites him back to her townhouse to catch up. As they chat uncomfortably, he produces a necklace as a gift to her, sways it before her eyes, and drops her into a deep mesmerizing trance. He reprograms her to fall madly in love with him again, has her call and break up with her current boyfriend, and accept the very one-sided open relationship she once refused. Once the commands are locked in, he wakes her on the rooftop; she greets him with adoring passion and readily agrees to the old arrangement. Ordered to change her outfit and dance for him, she smiles and calls him “Master,” yet rapid flashes reveal her true conscious self trapped inside, silently screaming for help while an emergent, darker part of her psyche—the same voice from the past—now holds the reins. She's on her knees and fully committed to him as she giggles with her radiant, obedient smile.
