Descripción

Sandra is new to the Lab, and wants to check her blowing pressure, as well as evaluate which of our two most popular mouthpieces works better for her. She begins with the SDI ComfitR spirometer mouthpiece, and just as she starts to build some pressure, a balloon spontaneously explodes - provoking a genuinely frightened scream. After being assured that her air is only going to the pressure sensor (no air actually flows due to its closed end), she tries again, blowing sustained puffs. She then tries the tuba mouthpiece, which she initially has more trouble getting a seal with, but which enable her enormous cheeks to more fully expand. While she is not overly excited about her results, they are quite respectable for a first try - certainly adequate to justify an attempt to inflate a hot water bottle.
