CC - The witch’s boots
Claudia ,the most atrocious witch humanity has ever spawned. Over two thousand years old, she owes her immortality to a magic so ancient and corrupt that she long ago ceased to view human beings as anything other than raw material for suffering. Hunted and humiliated by men during the Middle Ages, she learned to hate them with clinical precision. In her eyes, a man is not even an insect; he is refuse that is still capable of whimpering.
Though perfectly integrated into modern society, she finds herself needing to replace a bootlace this morning. It is a tedious, filthy task beneath her dignity. With a weary gesture, she conjures a small table. It is not enough. She then summons a slave already aware that he possesses no rights to appear beneath the tabletop. She places her foot upon his face and uses him as a footrest. The lace is finally in place. Her boots gleam. Yet the soles are soiled with earth and grime. She does not stoop. She does not soil herself. She simply issues a command. The slave must clean the soles with his tongue. Each stroke of his tongue is slow, compelled, and degrading tasting of mud and his own humiliation. When the soles are finally spotless, she decides he is in her way. That he is hideous. That he has lived long enough. With a spell cast in contempt, she shrinks him to the size of an insect. He screams, but the cry is already tiny, pathetic. Without a word, she lifts her boot the very one he has just licked and crushes him, savoring the sensation of tiny bones snapping. Nothing remains but a wet smear beneath the sole. She absently wipes the sole of her shoe against the ground, as if brushing off a speck of dirt, and walks away.
