When you work for the syndicate, you always have a backup plan and you never tell your wife anymore than she absolutely needs to know. For many years Jack has helped the Syndicate sell diamonds on the open market but he always took one of two for himself. He thought they would never catch him. Until they did. He learned about it just quick enough to stay one step ahead of the hit squad. So as he’s in the wind, his beautiful young bride is left to answer the call when they come to collect. A former mermaid underwater performer, they know Jack is famous for hiding diamonds in the pool as they can be rendered invisible quickly. They tell his bride if she swims down to get them, she and her family will go free but Jack will have to answer for this. She agrees and calls her husband who gives her the combination to the safe. Or did he? She won’t earn the truth till it is too late and he’ll buy himself another day, but at what cost!
