Cripple Cleaning: Washing Dishes
Oh shoot! Before I sprained my ankle, I promised my friends they could stay for the weekend-- but now I'm on crutches and the house is a mess! I asked my room mate for help cleaning but she told me to do it myself!
With my injured ankle wrapped in a bandage, along with an ankle brace and an orthopedic shoe, I hobble into the kitchen in a crop top and purple thong to get cleaning. Even though it's small, my kitchen is juuuust big enough that I either have to hop on one foot or use my crutches to get around. I mostly lean against the sink for support, because standing on my good leg sure is tiring. In fact, I have to crutch into the other room to fetch a stool to sit on and take a break. It's so hard to stand that I bring the clean dishes down onto the floor so I can dry them while I sit, with my injured leg stretched out in front of me.
I get a text message-- it's my friend, and he's arriving any minute! FUCK! The dishes aren't even finished, the counters are covered in trash, and I still have to clean the living room AND put on decent clothes! I hurry to clean and put away the dishes as fast as I can but it's soooo hard, and I keep hurting my ankle but jostling it around and bumping it on the floor!
