Here is a BTS clip showing me experimenting with some cool metal bondage gear I got! Basically, I had to figure out how to set it up and get it going.

I started out by buying some rigging shackles that I liked the look of. But, it turns out aesthetics aren't always functional. This led to a trip to the hardware store, a call to the shackle manufacturer, and a total change of plans. So, I ended up going with quick release twist off chain links for the chains instead of shackles.

Then, I had to figure out how to put it up by myself, which wasn't really hard, just awkward. First, I had put it up with padlocks just because I didn’t buy the quick release links on my first trip to the hardware store and I didn’t feel like going back that day (lol). But I wanted to see what it looked like.

When I got someone into it, Crystal Gayzher, it looked great! I only used the hand part so she could balance better on the bed. If I use it again I will set it so there is a little more slack in the chain. As I’m looking at it now I don’t like the way it is pressing into the front of her wrists. My thinking at the time was that it would be helpful to have most of the weight of the device supported, but I can see now that there are better choices! However, Crystal insisted it was comfy.

The quick release links were also quite hard to undo under tension - because the hole on the device is so small and a smallish link was the only one that would fit, the spinning part kept getting stuck on the metal even though I made sure to put the opening part on the outside. So next time I’ll go back to carabiners. Enjoy my experimentation!
