Newsreader's Burning Butt Prank
I'm so important, and so well-loved as a presenter on News at 6pm, the nation's favourite news programme. And today, I'm talking about an amazing heatwave that's sweeping the south east of England, and beyond. However, unbeknownst to me, I'm not quite as popular as I'd thought, and someone's put a lit candle under my seat! At first, all goes ahead as normal with my report, but as I enthuse about how hot the country's becoming, I realise that *I'm* getting a little hot and bothered too! At first I try to subtly shift around in my seat in order to make myself less uncomfortable, but soon I'm squirming and yelping as I try to get through my piece to camera like a professional. But as *soon* as it's over, a leap up, grabbing my bottom and screeching at how hot and painful it is! When I spot the candle, I'm furious, but there's no time to worry about it now. Instead, I race for the bathroom, and, still fully clothed, submerge my butt in the tub full of cold water that had been waiting. And it's only once I've taken care of my poor bottom that I start wondering who could possibly have been behind this cruel practical joke?
