carry on comfort
Two grown women. One long-haul flight. Padding nobody was supposed to notice.
Maya, 24, walks through the terminal like the crinkle under her leggings is a private joke. Chloe, 23, is sure the whole airport can hear it. Security has other plans. The metal detector lights up red, Agent Torres steps in, and a professional pat-down turns into the loudest cartoon fwip of Chloe’s life. She stammers out “travel comfort.” Torres lets her through. Maya leans in and calls it hot.
At the gate they stop pretending. Sitting in plain sight, they use what they packed. A soft hiss. Warmth spreading under the seats. Chloe bites her lip and admits she can’t stop thinking about how wet she is with a hundred strangers around them. Maya smiles. That’s the point. Hidden. Soft. Theirs.
Boarding. Seatbelts. Then the tiny lav and a spare pack. Leggings down, heavy diapers open, tapes ripping one by one while Maya tells Chloe to stay still and let her take care of her. The door flies open. Flight attendant Dana freezes, tray crooked, and threatens an incident report.
Bad move.
They pull her in. The lock clicks. Uniform skirt up, clean diaper out of Maya’s emergency pack, tabs popping across Dana’s hips while she swears she’ll call the captain. She doesn’t. By the time the door opens she’s the one waddling, ears red, plastic whispering under her skirt every step down the aisle. Maya and Chloe sit back down, fingers laced, and listen.
