The monitor begins to beep, her heartbeat becomes abnormal, and her heart begins to tachycardic. Oxygen saturation drops rapidly, and AMBU is used to ensure her lungs receive adequate oxygen. Her heart goes into fibrillation, and massage must begin immediately. CPR, chest compressions, and AMBU bagging begin. The defibrillator is charged, and Cynthia's heart receives several shocks. To ensure a more effective intervention, she is undressed. CPR continues, interrupted only by the shocks from the defibrillator. A Guedel valve is inserted to help open her airway.
