CC - Iron Heels and Digital Anger
Claudia had just spent another morning trying to play her favorite game on her tablet, but once again, the device had proven incredibly slow and temperamental. The game would freeze, the controls would no longer respond.
She had tried everything she could to fix the problem: reboots, updates, but nothing worked. This tablet, once a source of so much pleasure and relaxation, was now nothing more than a source of intense frustration. Today, it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Claudia felt a cold anger take hold of her. She knew it might seem irrational, but the accumulation of small inconveniences had finally gotten the better of her patience. She fixed a dark look on the tablet.
With new determination, she picked up the tablet and placed it on the ground. She straightened up, feeling the reassuring weight of her metal heels beneath her. These shoes, bought for their elegance and character, would now serve to exorcise her digital demons.
Claudia lifted her foot and, with all her accumulated frustration, she brought it down on the tablet screen. A dull crack echoed through the room, followed by the sound of the screen cracking and fragmenting. She felt an immediate satisfaction, an almost euphoric release.
She continued, raising and lowering her metal heels on the device, each blow shattering the tablet a little more. The glass shattered under the pressure, the internal components scattered, and with each impact, Claudia felt lighter and lighter, as if each piece of the shattered tablet took with it a little of her anger.
After a moment, she stopped, out of breath but victorious. What remained of the tablet was nothing more than a shapeless mass of plastic, glass, and crushed metal. Claudia stood above the debris, a triumphant smile on her lips. The technology had failed her, but she had regained control of the situation in her own way.
