Piece by Piece - Jessica Bellissimo
Jessica welcomes her students, enclosed inside little coffins, to her favourite night of the year.
She brings one of the coffins up to her face for a closer look. She can hear the screams coming from inside and enjoys the fear her tiny students feel in such a dark, tight space, not even knowing where they are. Jessica gives a few long licks to their enclosure in anticipation, preparing her terrified victims for what’s about to come.
She picks her first victim by the legs and puts the others aside.
Jessica explains the situation while cracking up as her shrunken, transformed student wiggles and squirms, dangling from her fingers like a little fish.
He probably thinks this is a nightmare or some kind of twisted halloween trick, though there’s still something he need to learn.
Jessica picks her phone up to take a photo of the tiny student dangling from her fingers…
"Smile!"
…And shows it to him.
She laughs at his despair once the nightmarish situation suddenly escalates to something he just can’t fathom. He’s been transformed into candy.
Jessica explains to him (and by extension, to the ones watching from their coffins), that one of her favourite tricks is to lure her innocent, naive students home promising treats and tricks, only they’ll actually become both.
Now, they’re all candy. They can still move, see, yell/scream, talk, cry and feel everything around them. They’re also extremely durable, which makes it perfect for something meant to be eaten alive: They’ll be aware of the whole process up until they’re finally digested and discarded in the toilet. By then they’ll be finally granted with "unlife", but until the fatal end there’s a long, fun experience ahead.
And if they think there's a chance their folks may come save them, Jessica has already taken care of that. All the parents have been shrunken as well (though not transformed) and await their fate inside a small jar in Jessica's living room.
Maybe they'll find some of their missing sons and daughters floating in her belly while she goes on with her life. Teacher by day, witch by Halloween night.
