Description

Catherine has brought an assortment of shoes to the laboratory to see which ones maximize her comfort and control of the pedals of a stickshift car. She begins by working each of the pedals in a pair of medium-heeled wedge T-strap sandals, then moves on to a pair of strappy sandals with a nearly flat heel, then a pair of sneakers, then a pair of simple sandals with a low wedge heel, then a pair of flat-heeled thong sandals, and finally, she works the pedals barefoot. Which will she prefer? There's only one way to find out!
