The Pedal Laboratory

Ama has brought in some more of her shoes to try out on the simulator pedals. Which ones allow her toes to flex the most?

Ayla takes another drive in the simulator, trying to see how fast it can go until she crashes. Or the computer crashes? It's always something...

Zonah is back with another group of shoes to test on our laboratory pump pedals. This time, she begins with a pair of strappy "gladiator" sandals, a pair of thin thong sandals, a pair of flip-flops, a pair of high-heel sandals, and a pair of almost knee-high shiny boots. All are in black or very dark colors, which contrast nicely with her pale skin and black toenails. While Zonah's lung power has yet to fail her, she will always be ready to use our pedal-operated air pumps when needed.

After seeing how hard she can drive a simulated vehicle with an automatic transmission, Carissa now wants to see if she can get into even more trouble with a manual transmission!

The Lab is building a new driving simulator, and Maria wants to check it out. She adjusts her seat, calibrates the pedals, and gets ready to try some driving.

The Lab is building a new driving simulator, and Kim has been assigned the task of testing the hardware on which it will be based. She's wearing some cute thng sandals, and has the driver software loaded up and ready to go. The finished simulator will employ a real car seat and real car pedals, but first we have to test the basic steering wheel and pedal platform!

After about a year of operation, the Lab has recently finished rebuilding its driving simulator, to apply lessons learned from the first edition. Positioning of the seat, wheel, and accelerator have been improved, and structure has been reinforced to reduce flex and interaction of the clutch and brake sensors. Power supplies and computer are now onboard, and soon there will be an audio connection to the lab's sound system to increase realism. Ama stopped in to give it a preliminary checkout, and found it to be much easier to find comfortable driving positions for her long arms and legs. The only problem - however she mashes the gas, there is no sensor registration. Brake and clutch are fine, but we'll have to dig into the gas in order to resume our driving simulations.
