Cranking 27; The Starter Gives Up Again!!!
Sorry I haven't been around for a little while guys; I know a number of you have emailed and its sweet to hear your concerns; I will get back to you all. Rest assured I'm just ridiculously busy this end; last week wasn't a great week for a number of reasons and I had to basically focus on what needed to be done. Its not dissimilar this weekend.....
The other problem I had is documented herein; my starter motor failed again. This time however something else broke on the car too; I don't pretend to know what it was but the car spent the majority of the week off the road which caused Me all sorts of problems. When I tried to start it (and recorded this video) I had actually thought it was simply a flat battery again, but alas no; a battery charge overnight made no difference.
This video is comprised of two halves, the first being recorded by a tripod mounted camera on the passenger seat. One of my fans has asked for more realistic lighting so I've given that a go here; this is for You J.K. :-) The camera lights were on until I got in the car so you can see what I'm wearing; I then turn the lights off. Its filmed by night on the driveway so aside from a light in the footwell what you see is as a result of the ambient light cast from my kitchen window. The starter gives up pretty quickly but you also get that desperate "ru............ru............ru..ru............ru" that now characterises a number of my videos! And I WAS desperate; this caused me all sorts of problems.
The second half of the video is filmed from actually under the drivers seat in what could be a perspective. Both cameras recorded the same events so I haven't edited them together as such but merely run one after the other.
See what you think guys. I have a lovely update coming for you; I was out and at Halloween party and you can guess what happened when I came to go home! Green and black Halloween dress, green tights and fluffy black heels; look out for that one coming soon! I have also had numerous attempts at starting the Renault and.....its showing signs of life! But teasing me at the same time!!
