Heel Pain Cancels the Showing
Kookie had been on her feet all day, showing house after house to prospective clients in her stylish, but unforgiving high heels. By the time her latest client arrived for the scheduled showing, her feet were throbbing with pain. As she greeted him from the couch, the weight of her sore feet became almost unbearable. But just as she started to show him around, disaster struck. Kookie trys to take her heel to rub on her sore soles while the clients back is turned, hoping he won't turn around to find her with rubbing them. Then the client, fumbling with a heavy book in his hands, accidentally dropped it straight onto her already tender foot. Kookie winced, nearly collapsing from the sharp pain that shot up her leg. The client quickly knelt down, his face filled with concern, and gently began rubbing her foot in an attempt to ease the pain. Despite his kind gesture, the pain was too much for her to bear. Gripping her heel in agony, Kookie knew she couldn’t continue the showing. With a wince, she let out a sigh and apologized, telling the client she’d have to cancel the appointment. Her foot simply hurt too much to walk around any longer. She tried to smile through the discomfort, hoping he understood, but all she could focus on was the relentless ache in her foot.
