Charles stood with his arms crossed, staring at the still unmade bed. Josie lingered nearby in her smart outfit, clearly more interested in taking selfies than doing her chores.

Josie sighed but obeyed, facing the wall. “Content is what you wanted, wasn’t it?” she muttered.

Josie glanced back. “Why are you being nice to me? That’s scary when you’re nice.”
Charles smiled. “I could be nice and silent.”
Swish… Thud!
“Oh! I much preferred it when you were nice!” Josie yelped.
The flogger landed again and again with stinging, thudding strokes. Josie squirmed and gasped, her bottom quickly turning a bright, rosy red.
“This is not as fab as it looks, is it?” she complained between strokes.
“You said you’d change the bed while I was in the shower,” Charles reminded her, swinging the flogger again. “Instead, you were taking selfies for your website.”
He continued the steady punishment, mixing harder strokes with teasing pauses. “Naughty and nice… same as pain and pleasure, isn’t it?”
Josie was smiling despite the sting. “I get it. I better change the bed… last resort and all that.”
Charles gave her a final few crisp strokes. “Not until I’ve finished with this instrument.”
By the time he was satisfied, Josie’s bottom glowed a lovely, even red. She stood rubbing her sore cheeks, looking suitably contrite.
“I’ll go and change the bed now, darling,” she said sweetly.
Charles chuckled. “Good girl. And next time… maybe do it before the selfies.”
