Come to America.....Get FAT!
The Cup may be over... but the real impact is only just beginning.
Sure, everyone thought it would be a celebration of sport. Nations gathering together in the spirit of healthy competition, athletic excellence, and international camaraderie. But what happened was the complete opposite of healthy. What happened was a full-scale surrender to indulgence and gluttony.
Thousands arrived expecting stadiums and soccer matches. Instead, they found themselves confronted with something far more powerful: American obesity.
Every city became a temptation. Towering burgers stacked beyond reason. Bottomless drinks. Desserts large enough to feed entire families. Portion sizes that seemed less like meals and more like personal challenges.
Every bite filled with sugar, fat, and grease. "I'm only here once." "I'll walk it off tomorrow." "One more won't hurt." But see, America is anything but walkable, and suddenly those calories had nowhere to go. And so they turned to flab. But what really changed was the mindset, the need for more food, more unhealthy, massive options.
The final whistle has blown, but the consequences are only beginning. The Cup may be leaving America, yet America's appetite is spreading worldwide, one expanded waistband at a time.
