The Summer We Got Fat, Mutual Gaining
It's been quite the summer so far. Hot, humid, and almost unbearable at times. But honestly, it's been one of the most rewarding summers we've ever had, because this is the summer we finally got fat.
Instead of soaking up the sun, we've been soaking up each other in the comfort of the air conditioning. Long afternoons spent cuddling on the couch, rotting our brains with endless TV, movies, and snacks within arm's reach. Every day has been another excuse to stay in, order something delicious, have dessert because why not, and simply enjoy ourselves without worrying about calories or consequences.
The best part has been watching our bodies change together. Every week we've grown a little softer, a little rounder, a little more comfortable. We've spent the summer worshipping each other's curves, rolls, and jiggles, finding new softness to admire and appreciate. There's just so much more of each other to hold, to cuddle, and to love now.
And honestly, I wouldn't trade it for anything. This has been the ultimate summer of abundance. A summer spent embracing pleasure, taking up a little more space together, and making memories over incredible meals instead of counting calories. If this is what growing softer together feels like, then I can't wait to see what next summer brings.
