Why Every Home Needs a Carpet Like This; Part 2 - 4K
In this second part, I continue showing Ruby June why a properly trained human carpet is such a useful piece of furniture. This time, the lesson is all about impact. Calmly and matter-of-factly, I explain that the carpet’s job is simple; to absorb my jumps as comfortably and efficiently as possible. Then I demonstrate exactly what I mean, using a chair to land on him with full weight, full intent, and no concern beyond my own satisfaction.
What begins as a cool little demonstration quickly turns into something far more intense. Ruby tries it next; first cautiously, then with increasing confidence once she realizes the carpet really does take the impact well. From there, the rhythm builds beautifully; harder jumps, faster turns, more impact, more laughter, and the quiet pleasure of discovering just how much this piece of furniture can absorb for us. By the end, we are using him continuously, from chair, from counter, even together, turning the room into our playground and the carpet into exactly what it was always meant to be; something beneath us that exists to cushion, compress, and take the full weight of our fun.
