Brandy CA at the Swimming Pool, CPR, Resus, Ambu, AED
Brandy is at home feeling a little bit dizzy. She calls her girlfriend and discusses her queasiness. She decides to go to the swimming pool to refresh herself. What she doesn’t know is that she has had a CA event already. When she gets into the cold water it is too much for her heart. She starts gasping for air, and has no power to come out of the pool. She collapses in the water, and her heart goes into full cardiac arrest. Soon her girlfriend Chloe arrives and immediately takes her out of the pool and calls the ambulance. A few minutes later the parameds arrive. They check Brandy’s vitals and start pushing water out of her lungs. There is a lot of it! When they realize there is no pulse, they starts CPR immediately. They hook her up to the heart monitor, and inserts an IV. Following a few cycles of CPR and ambu bagging, they place the AED pads onto her chest and use the machine's manual mode but there is no response following the shock. They continue the resus procedure. Later they intubate her and produce many more cycles of CPR, ambu bagging and defibs. Finally her pulse returns and she is ready to transport to the hospital. A great poolside resus clip with sharp defibs, CPR with interlocked fingers, many camera angles. On location resus fans must see this!
