Pumping Until It Runs - Inside view
I got into the Opala wearing a beautiful tight pink dress and my silver mules. The hood is already open because I know exactly the kind of trouble waiting for me. I adjust myself in the seat and the battle begins.
It gives several false starts, shuts off, cuts out, runs very rough, and I stay focused, pumping the pedal and trying to make it come to life. The engine shakes and jerks hard, almost like it is trying to escape from me.
But I am not the kind of woman who gives up easily.
