Once upon a time, she was a city legend — a superhero who always appeared exactly when she was needed. She caught criminals, prevented robberies, and rescued people in danger. Thanks to her, the city became quiet and safe. Almost too quiet — crime had practically disappeared. Now she spends her days at home, lying around with a TV remote in one hand and a huge pile of food on the table in front of her. She lazily flips through TV channels, occasionally reaching for another snack — chips, cookies, a sandwich — and slowly chewing while staring at the screen. Time passes slowly. She eats a little more. The city remains quiet. Meanwhile, the emergency alert continues flashing on her laptop. Nobody is calling for her to save the world. She's bored. With a heavy sigh, she takes another bite and leans back in her chair. Day after day, it's always the same: television, couch, refrigerator… and more food. Suddenly — BAM! A notification pops up on her laptop. A call for help. She instantly comes to life, her eyes lighting up. Finally! She jumps to her feet and rushes to the wardrobe where her superhero costume is hanging. But as she tries to put it on, she discovers that her lazy lifestyle has made the outfit too small. She pulls at the fabric, struggling with all her might to squeeze into it. The costume resists, but she refuses to give up. After several minutes of wrestling with it, she finally manages to get it on — although the fabric is stretched to its absolute limit. Now it's time for the boots. She bends down to put them on, but her noticeably rounder belly gets in the way. She pants, grumbles, and twists around, and after considerable effort, finally manages to fasten them. She straightens up — and her eyes fall on the table. There's a small cake sitting there. She freezes. She looks at the cake. Then at the door. Then back at the cake. "Well, just one little piece," she decides. A minute later, there's not a crumb of cake left. Meanwhile, the emergency alert continues flashing on her laptop. She glances at the screen and lets out a heavy sigh. Then she notices another pastry sitting on the table. She hesitates for a moment, reaches out, and happily grabs the tempting treat. "The city can wait. Even its savior deserves a little rest," she decides, taking the first bite. Settling comfortably back into her chair, she continues watching television and enjoying her pastry. Let the city wait a little longer for its savior. Today, the superhero clearly has other plans.
