Description

Candle and Dixie arrive home and are immediately accosted by an intruder. He Dixie to go in search of rope and a couple of chairs, then makes her tie Candle to one of the chairs. Dixie is then tied to the other. Both women are gagged (rag is inserted into each girl's mouth, viewed in close up) and left alone as the intruder goes about his business. Both girls struggle and Dixie succeeds in freeing her hands. She whispers to Dixie that she will untie her as she as she herself is free. Just as she starts to release her friend, however, Candle is caught by the intruder who shoots her. Determined to leave no traces of himself in the house, or leave Dixie to talk, he sets a bomb and then leaves. As the timer counts down, growing ever closer to the moment of detonation, Candle appears as a ghost, whispering words of encouragement to Dixie. Candle touches the rope binding Dixie's wrists and applies some kind of energy which loosens the knots. Dixie manages to free herself just before the bomb explodes. She runs up the hill and turns to see an explosion erupt through the open doorway of her house. She also sees the ghost of Candle farther down the driveway, watching the house before she walks away and fades from existence forever.
