TFF1907 - Cleaning Up the Office Clutter
Epiphany Jones breezed into her office, ready for a productive day, looking sharp in her cornflower blue skirt and black top. But her stride was broken by a sight that stopped her in her tracks. "Oh my goodness," she gasped, looking down at the beige carpet. "What is this? What a mess..." She crouched down, expecting spilled stationery, but recoiled when she saw the truth. They were men. Tiny, shrunken, pathetic little men, running around her workspace like ants.
Her shock quickly gave way to a pragmatic, cruel resolve. She had to deal with this mess before a client arrived. She stood up, her beige patent leather court shoes looming over the tiny intruders. She didn't call for a janitor; she handled it herself. She brought her heel down on the first group, the sharp impact silencing their tiny shouts instantly. She ground them into the carpet, ensuring the office floor was flat again.
But the heels were too clumsy for the stragglers. She sat at her desk and slipped them off, revealing her pale, bare feet. She returned to the hunt, pressing her soft soles over the remaining men, smothering them under her arches, feeling the satisfying crunch of the "clutter" being compacted.
Finally, the office was quiet again, save for one trembling survivor on her desk. Epiphany picked him up, dangling him before her face. She looked at him with a mixture of curiosity and hunger. "Well," she mused, "waste not, want not." She opened her mouth and placed the tiny man on her tongue. With a smile and a swallow, she sent him down to join the others, patting her chest with satisfaction. The office was clean, and she'd even had a little snack. Time to get to work.
