Silliness and practice breath holds
Laughter bubbled between us as we floated side by side, sunlight rippling across the surface. The challenge was simple hold your breath longer than me but somehow it felt like more than a game. We counted down together, giggling through the last few seconds before dipping beneath the surface.
Down there, the world softened. Sound faded to a hum, bubbles tickling our cheeks as we tried to keep still. You puffed out a few last air rings, and I almost lost it laughing underwater. Our eyes met, wide and bright, a mix of mischief and calm determination.
When we finally surfaced, both gasping and grinning, the air felt electric. The closeness, the shared silence it made the moment oddly intimate. We wiped water from our faces, already daring each other to go again, to dive deeper, to stay longer. It wasnt about winning anymore, just about that shared, breathless joy.
