Then the lights start turning off one by one.

My breathing gets faster. The panic sets in. I begin frantically rocking the chair side to side, lifting it up and down, desperate to break free before total darkness hits. The chair scrapes loudly on the floor as I fight, my body straining against the ropes, bare feet flexing, muscles tensing. I’m scared I really don’t want to fall over while completely tied up.

Finally, the last light goes out.

I’m left alone in pitch black darkness, still tightly bound, helpless, and panicking.
