Sarah's New $200 Car is a Piece of Junk
I recently came across a dirt-cheap 2002 Ford Focus that's somehow still road legal for another 2 years... and for only $200, I just couldn't resist. Of course, a $200 car comes with a few little issues... and I'm already finding that out the hard way.
In this clip, you get to come along with me while I run two errands in my new piece of junk.
The clip starts with me getting into the Focus and trying to start it. After one nice, long crank, it finally fires up and I drive to the grocery store to pick up some dishwasher tablets.
When I come back with the tablets, though, my cheap little Ford decides it doesn't want to cooperate anymore. I turn the key and have to sit there cranking it for a painfully long 16 seconds before it finally starts, all while people nearby get to hear me struggling with my embarrassing car.
A few hours later, I head out for one final errand. The whole thing literally takes one minute, so surely the car can manage that, right?
Nope.
When it's time to go home, I start the car... only for it to stall. I get it started again, and it stalls again. Then the stubborn piece of junk decides it doesn't want to start at all.
I spend the next 10 minutes fighting with the car, repeatedly trying to get the damn thing running so I can finally go home. After plenty of cranking, stalling, and a little worry, the Focus eventually gives in and starts again.
I finally get to drive my troublesome new $200 car home... but something tells me this little Ford and I are going to have a very complicated relationship.
