Pump that Pedal

Outfit & Shoes
Natural hair and natural amount of make up, casual T-shirt with a light jacket, any pair of shorts, bare Legs and Timberland boots

Scenario
Vivian is a single step-mother taking her young step-son and two of his friends to the park. She recently got her car a huge tune-up and doesn’t expect to have any issues for a long time.

The camera starts from the POV of the three little ones in the back seat but towards the right side so we can see all of Vivian and her feet. Vivian gets in the car and cheerfully looks back and smiles at them, saying “ Okay ya'll! Head count! ”
She makes sure all three of them are there and asks if they have their seat belts on. She can improvise some quick general conversation about going to the park before she tries to start the car. When she does, she turns the key and obviously it doesn’t start. She tries again and same thing. On the third attempt she begins to pump and any cheerfulness she had as they were getting ready is now gone. She starts panicking, saying things like “ No no no! Not today! ” and that she just got the car fixed. Her pumping style can be natural as long as she keeps her heel on the floor.

She tries to reassure them that everything will be fine and that the car’s just being “janky,” and with enough pumping it will start, telling them, “ This clunker is no match for my foot. ”

As she continues cranking she’ll try to sweet talk the car, but she very quickly begins to lose her patience and starts cursing out the car. She apologizes to them and tries a more cheerful approach. She cheers on the car by saying “ We got spirit yes we do! We got spirit how bout you? Go! Go Go! Go! Start! Start! Start! ” and pumping the pedal to the beat.

Once again though she begins to lose her patience. At this point, the view now shifts from the back to the passenger’s seat, with focuses on Vivian and her feet. The rest of the video can pretty much be improvised, with Vivian cranking while constantly cursing and screaming at the car, with constant embarrassed apologies to them. She talks about how she doesn’t understand what’s wrong with the car, and that pumping usually always eventually works. She can continue to improvise dialogue the rest of the clip as long as she stays angry at the car while trying to comfort them.
She gets more and more angry and desperate to the point of near crying. Although at one point towards the end, she can tell the car “ My boot is nonstop WORKING this pedal, and your janky ass can’t even TRY to go for me?! ”

When time is up and the video is coming to and end, Vivian is basically completely in tears. After her last try, she curses at the car one more time, and helplessly and apologetically tells them she needs to call a tow truck. The camera fades out with her getting out of the car.

Outfit & Shoes
Vivian wearing outfit similar to custom 1328. If her step daughter wears something like it also tighter jeans or leggings work, both of them in sneakers and slouch type socks.

Scenario
Kind of see this as a cranking video where Vivian teaches step daughter to pump and she’s a natural type of scenario. Vivian and her step daughter are trying to take a drive in the Monte. Vivian gets in as passenger, step-daughter gets in driver seat.

Step-daughter says “A lright lets go! ” and cranks the Monte long without any pumping. It doesn’t start. She looks confused.

Vivian says, “T his older car needs some help to start. Let me show you “. Camera fades and comes back with Vivian in the driver seat.

She starts pumping and says “I t needs a lot of gas so you need to pump it . It also helps if you talk to it. Things like ‘Come on baby start for me! ” She cranks and pumps for a bit. Step-daughter watches and learns as Vivian works it.

She says to her step-daughter, “ Lets see if you can get it started now .” Camera switches to Vivian back in passenger seat and step-daughter in drivers seat. This time her step-daughter is like a natural pumper, she learned her lesson well.

She starts pumping fast and says “ Lets go baby! ” then starts cranking.

She stops looking a bit frustrated and says “ I need to pump it more. ” This time she does some longer cranks with more aggressive pumping with full leg.

She stops and says “ It wont start and I’m pumping it. ”

Vivian says “ That’s okay, you’re a real pedal pumper now! ”

Her step-daughter pumps the gas a few more times and says “ I love pumping and cranking! ”

Video fades out.

Outfit & Shoes
White or light colored collared shirt with dark leather jacket and black dress pants. Pants tucked into black leather thigh high stiletto boots.

Scenario
The video starts with Vivian getting into the jeep, driving away as she says to herself that the car has been parked for long time and will need the mechanics to look at it over. After a few moments Vivian needs to slow down for the curve, so she pressed on the brakes only to realize it’s not working. Panicked, Vivian is desperate and we hear her talk: “please slow down” and “Oh I should not have driven this car when the worn brakes are shot!”. As she says these, the footwell camera angle switches between views from passenger, from Vivian top to bottom, and from driver’s side door showing her booted foot frantically pumping the brake pedal to avail. Occasionally the camera also shows the road ahead with the jeep not stopping or slowing.
Then Vivian, viewed from passenger seat, says “let’s try the e-brake” and sees the boots step hard on the e-brake, only for Vivian to scream that “the e-brake is also shot! what am I going to do?”. We then continue see a mixture of Vivian pumping the brake pedals and her upper body bouncing from the repeated pumpings until the end when she yelled “OMG I THINK I AM GOING TO CRASH!” HELP!”

Outfit & Shoes
Sundress (or short casual skirt and top), tan high-heeled pumps (sz 10 ShoeDazzle pumps on flickr)

Scenario
I (the camera man) am infatuated with Diana, who lives in the apartment downstairs from me. I watch her each and every day out my window as she comes and goes, hoping and praying that I’ll witness her struggling to start her old Monte Carlo......but it never happens.

-I (the camera man) decide to take matters into my own hands. [NOTE: Shoot this from the camera man’s perspective] I sneak downstairs and out to where her car is parked in the driveway. Making sure I’m not seen, I open the drivers-side door, pop the hood, unscrew the wingnut to the lid of the air cleaner and stuff a rag in the exposed carburetor. I (the camera man) make sure the rag is nice and tight in the barrels, then replace the air cleaner lid and quietly close the hood. For the full effect, I (the camera man) stick a under the driver’s seat pointed at the gas pedal before closing the door and walking away. [NOTE: Camera fades out]

-[NOTE: Camera fades in from upstairs bedroom window] I (the camera man) am upstairs looking out the window, anxiously awaiting Diana to leave. All of a sudden, Diana appears as she’s walking towards her old Monte Carlo. [NOTE: Camera zooms in as Diana walks to her car] She’s wearing a sexy sundress (or skirt and top) and sexy tan high-heeled pumps. Diana gets in the Monte Carlo, checks her look in the mirror and attempts to start her car. The engine sputters, but refuses to start. Diana tries 3 or 4 more times, bouncing slightly in her seat as she pumps the gas pedal, but the engine continues to stall.

-[NOTE: Switch camera view to inside the car under the driver’s seat] Diana tries several more times to start her car. The is focused on her tan high heels as they pump and hold the gas pedal to the floor. Diana can be heard in the background begging and pleading for her car to start (“C’mon, baby, why aren’t you starting?”......”You always start for me!”......”C’mon, please turn over for me!”......”I’m gonna be late if you don’t start!”)

-[NOTE: Switch camera view back to upstairs window] Diana tries a couple more times to start the car without success. She angrily bangs her hands on the steering wheel, then pops the hood and gets out of the car. [NOTE: Camera zooms in as Diana gets out, walks around to the front of the car and opens the hood] Diana bends over the engine compartment. She shifts from one foot to the other, poking and prodding at wires and hoses but doesn’t see anything wrong. Diana closes the hood and gets back in the car.

-[NOTE: Switch the camera view back to inside the car under the driver’s seat] The camera focuses on the gas pedal as Diana gets back in the car. Her pleading continues and her frustration mounts as she cranks the engine a few more times, pumping the gas pedal harder and harder as the engine still refuses to start.

-[NOTE: Switch the camera view one last time back to the upstairs window] I (the camera man) watch as Diana tries a couple more times to start her car. The sabotaged engine just refuses to cooperate. Diana finally gives up. She gets out, slams the car door and angrily stomps out of view.

Note to Diana – Feel free to add purse, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. to your outfit if you want
Note to ShisH – I’d like to do this video with a mix of ‘peeping Tom’ and ‘in the car’ camera shots....much like the video you did with Tinsley in her cheerleader outfit
