My two cousins ??and I exchanged glances. We didn't need to say a word. The look shared between 18-year-olds when they spot arrogant prey is a universal language. It was time to spring the trap.
"Oh really, big cousin?" I began, feigning naive admiration as I pulled a bill from my pocket and placed it on the table. "If your stamina is truly unshakable, how about we bet this cash on a little test?"
His eyes lit up. He looked at the money, looked at my physique, glanced at my other cousin, and gave that smug, lopsided smirk. He genuinely thought we were handing him free money. After all, it was ten years of training, martial arts, and muscle against three skinny people weighing maybe 50 or 60 kilos. In his mind, it was the easiest challenge in history.
— "Better get your wallet ready, cousin. What’s the test? Squats? Planks?" — he asked, crossing his arms and puffing out his chest, confident he could master anything.
That’s when we sprung the trap.
— "Simple," — my cousin replied with the most cynical grin imaginable. — "You just have to lie on the floor. And the endurance test... is holding steady while the three of us walk right over your body."
Our big cousin’s smile froze instantly. His upright posture slumped in a flash. It took his brain about three seconds to process that "endurance" didn't mean lifting weights, but rather serving as a human rug for three eighteen-year-old adults.
You could see the internal conflict in his eyes: pride telling him, "You can't chicken out now," and common sense screaming, "They’re going to crush your ribs." But his ego—ah, the ego of someone who’s been training for a decade—wouldn't let him back down. He lay on the floor, took a deep breath, and braced his abs as if preparing for a meteor impact.
I stepped closer, positioned my foot right over his chest, and looked him straight in the eye.
