BOULDER BRACED
Accidents happen, right? Oh sure but Megan always thought they would happen to Other people until she tries to locate a ring she overheard a fellow swimmer complaining she had lost near the submerged boulders in the lake. “That’ll be easy to find†she thought as she changed in the cubicle. “how hard can it be to find a ring, I’ll have that thing in a pawn shop before lunch.†She heads down to the water and begins to comb the path the lady said she took, first without a mask, and then with one after realizing that no mask, while making her look less suspicious, will complicate the search. Finally her efforts are rewarded. She sees the ring beneath a giant submerged boulder. When she reaches her hand into the hole where she saw the ring, it is caught on something within and her struggle in the cold, cold, water begins. Will she escape unharmed? Will any of the passing swimmers notice her and try to help? The answer is anyone’s guess in this new open water scenario.
