The Artist's Model
A few years back, I did an evening course in life-drawing at the local community centre. Recently, I thought I'd take it up again, so bought myself a second-hand easel and set up in my home conservatory, where the natural light was at its best. I booked a model, some guy called Luke that I found on an agency website. When he arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how young and fit he looked, and I felt we'd get along just fine. Once he'd removed his clothes though, suddenly the need to create a masterpiece had faded somewhat.... and now what I needed to feel in my hands was definitely not a brush...
