JACK PAINFUL BASTINADO PUNISHMENT
Rookie Jack pushed himself harder than anyone on the course. Too far apart. The other cadets watched. Whispered. Resented. So they decided to bring him back in line. The seniors didn’t argue. They didn’t warn him. They simply passed judgment. A lesson had to be learned. They called it a trial.
Three hundred strikes — cold, methodical, delivered to the soles of his feet with unforgiving wooden sticks.
Not a mark where it could be seen. No evidence. No proof. Only pain.
Blow after blow echoed in the silence, each one breaking his strength, grinding down his defiance.
Speed, pride, ambition — all beaten out of him, strike by strike.
The agony was overwhelming, relentless… carefully designed. Because the seniors knew exactly what they were doing. They always did. Their methods weren’t just bastinado punishment.
