The fake podiatrist
After standing all day in classic ballet flats, Alba develops a sharp pain in her left heel, deep in the heel pad. Outside the doctor’s office she waits nervously, calling a friend and describing exactly where it hurts, shifting her weight because she can’t put pressure on that foot. She doesn’t know that Dr. Pamela is fake — and secretly obsessed with hurting women’s feet.
Pamela calls her in. Alba enters with visible difficulty, sits by the desk, explains what happened, and fills out a patient form while repeatedly touching her heel and reacting to the pain. Asked to walk a few steps in her flats, Alba can barely manage it, complaining loudly before slipping her heel out and massaging it desperately.
On the exam table, still wearing her flats on her toes, Pamela presses along Alba’s foot, finds the most painful spot and cruelly pushes harder until Alba screams. After a minute Alba breaks free, moves toward Pamela and kicks her straight in the heel. Pamela collapses, clutching her foot. Both end up on the floor, holding their aching heels, exhausted and nearly in tears.
