Running in nylon socks
Sitting out on the damp grass today with a heavy layer of mud caked into the sole of these trail runners. I had run about 2.5 miles by this point. The nylon socks are completely saturated with heat and sweat after a long stretch sealed inside the shoe. I take my time untying the laces, loosening the pressure before slowly sliding my foot free. The contrast between the cool grass and my hot, damp skin is intense. I flex my toes wide, pressing the sole down into the wet blades to feel the moisture penetrate between my toes. It cools my hot feet down nicely, turning the foot to catch every angle in the macro frame before sliding it back into the tight, sweaty interior.
