Alexa Entranced: Statue Trigger
Holding still sounds simple—until I’m asked to become a statue. A slow, mist-filled induction draws me into the session before two little phrases take centre stage: “lock in” and “release.”
At first, resisting the urge to move takes concentration. Then the trigger tests begin. I’m guided through poses with my chin lifted and arms extended, holding each position until the release cue lets me soften and move again. Each new “lock in” brings another freeze, turning a simple instruction into an increasingly absorbing game of movement and stillness.
Watch my responses as the suggestions build, followed by a full awakening and my immediate thoughts on the experience. As I explain afterwards, staying still was difficult at the beginning—but somewhere along the way, it started to work.
