Description

Alena comes home to find a package from a medical study she signed up for — which, she reflects, has a pretty solid track record (last week's mystery pill cleared up her acne in a day). This week's delivery: a single piece of Willy Wonka Gum, labeled simply "blueberry."

She's skeptical about the branding but pops it in anyway. What follows is a full three-course dinner — in gum form. She narrates each flavor shift in real time: first tomato soup, then roast beef, then mashed potatoes and peas all at once. She can taste the texture of the peas. She is genuinely impressed with the science.

Then dessert arrives: blueberry pie and ice cream, cold and everything, with the blueberry flavor building to an almost overwhelming intensity.

And then she starts getting very large and very round.

The gum, it turns out, is doing exactly what Willy Wonka gum is historically known for doing. Alena inflates into a blueberry — still narrating, still tasting the pie, now also deeply concerned about practical matters like how to get through the door, how to scratch her legs, and whether she needs to call the science people or go straight to Willy Wonka for the antidote.

She hasn't figured any of that out by the end of the video. The gum still tastes incredible, though.
