Slippers Fight
In today’s video, I head out in my gym clothes and slippers, holding my camera in my hand the entire time. I get into my Ford, which has been sitting for about a month without being started, and with the temperature being so low, I already know I’m in for a serious fight. I spend most of the video filming the pedals as I pump the accelerator frantically, trying over and over to get the engine running. For the first several minutes, the car shows absolutely no signs of starting, just endless cranking. I refuse to give up, taking short breaks before trying again, but nothing seems to work. At one point, the battery connection seems to give out, so my husband comes over to adjust the cables and gets everything working again. I can finally continue my attempts, and little by little, the Ford starts showing signs of life. It sputters, struggles, catches for a moment, and then shuts off again. I can feel that I’m getting closer, but after so many endless attempts, my legs and feet are aching, and I’m getting exhausted. Still, I keep going until I finally manage to get the engine running! I let it warm up for a while, and this time, it stays on. The engine settles into a normal rhythm, I give it a few revs, and after all that effort, the fight is finally over. Today’s battle with the Ford was a tough one, but I won!
