Les infirmières lui font un examen de base, vérifient sa tension artérielle et la branchent sur un ECG 12 dérivations. Ensuite elle monte sur un vélo d'exercice pour le test d'effort. Tout semble bien se passer au début mais alors qu'ils continuent de la surveiller il devient vite clair qu'elle est essoufflée et éprouve des difficultés ce qui est inhabituel pour quelqu'un de son âge compte tenu du niveau d'effort fourni. Bientôt ils doivent la déplacer vers le lit où ils commencent immédiatement une RCP et défibrillation où elle continue de lutter jusqu'à ce qu'après quelques séries le rythme revienne à la normale. Before they start her meds and prepping her to the Cath lab, her heart goes to Vfib again and flat lines. The med team starts resuscitation with CPR and ambu bagging. They place 3M defib pads onto her chest and the defibrillator is charged but there is no response following the shock. They continue CPR with strong chest compressions. Following the next shock her pulse returns but she is still unstable. Her pulse and breathing is weak. In the next moment she starts panic breathing and suddenly crashes again. The med team continues the resus procedure. Following many cycles of CPR - bagging and shocking they are close to calling time. But they don't give up. They place the CPR board under her back and continue resuscitation. They intubate her too. After many more cycles of the resus procedure, finally the patient’s pulse returns. They hook her up to the respirator and let her rest while they prep her for the Cath lab. A very graphic and exciting ER resuscitation video on a large natural breasted M.I. victim. The resus procedure restarts and following some cycles of CPR and more defibrillations, Kate’s pulse returns but she is not stable. The med team calls her name and tries to keep her breathing while they check her vitals. The next minute her heart flat lines again! The doctor starts CPR immediately with strong chest compressions while the nurse ambu bags her. The medical team needs many more cycles of resus with CPR, Bagging and more defibrillations. Finally her pulse returns. They must transport her to the hospital immediately because she is not stable. To be continued... Its an appointment she has dreaded each passing week after her accident as she is always told her leg is healing slowly and she will need to stay in the cast another week, always just another week... She lost so much hope, she doesn't even bring another shoe in anymore just in case this will be the week the cast comes off. It never is and she doesn't want to jinx things. This week she is in for a treat though. Another patient, Jade crutches in nursing a sprain. Jade seems the talkative type and she tells Stella about her accident. Stella is in a dark mood and doesn't want to talk about her mishap. Jade senses she needs a pick-me-up and offers to share her soothing foot cream with Stella. Soon afterwards Kate becomes an O2 mask is placed onto her face and she is instructed to continue the exam, but she cant. She is tired and totally out of breath. She even needs assistance to lis on the exam table still with many electrodes attached. She gasps for air as her condition deteriorates rapidly. Nurse Jessica has no choice but to call for help. When Dr. Nicky and Nurse Betsy arrive Kates eyes are rolling in her head and the next minute she stops breathing and she goes into full cardiac arrest! The medical team removes her bra immediately and starts CPR with strong chest compressions. The defibrillator charges and they shock her heart. Kates body contorts sharply, however there is still no pulse. The med team continues CPR and ambu bagging. They shock her again but with no response. The medical team needs more cycles of CPR - ambu begging and defibrillations to stabilize her. Finally the patients pulse returns and she looks OK. Unfortunately, with thes complication she won't be diving any time soon!
