Heart Attack At The Office Christmas Party
Tonight is the company Christmas Party and I’m really looking forward to it. I had a very stressful day at work, trying to close a deal in order to get my Christmas bonus. I was so stressed that I was getting chest pains and just didn’t feel right. Right before the day ended, I did close a deal and I’m excited to go to the Christmas party.
I’m having a great time at the party and I’m feeling a little bit better. I’m just happy that I closed the deal and I’m able to get my Christmas bonus. During the party, my desk phone rings and unfortunately I answered it. It’s the gentleman that I closed the deal with that afternoon and he’s canceling it. He put a stop payment on his check, and if my boss finds out, there goes my Christmas bonus.
Shortly after, my boss calls me into the break room, during the party to tell me that he heard my deal canceled. I beg him not to hold my bonus as I tell him how much I need it. Hes not really listening to me though, he’s been drinking and getting very handsy with me. I politely try turning him down a few times, but he makes it very clear that the only way I will see my Christmas bonus or keep my job at that matter is if I have sex with him. I’m furious and before I realize what I’m doing, I throw a drink in his face. He immediately started yelling at me, telling me that I’m fired and that I’ll never work in this town again. My chest pains come back immediately, and I start having a hard time breathing. My chest feels like it’s caving in and I can barely catch my breath. Something is very wrong. I yell for somebody to please call 911. I believe I’m having a heart attack. I collapse to the floor, grasping my chest, as I feel my heart begin to slow. I try to murmur that my heart is stopping, but I can barely catch a breath let alone, speak. The pain is worsening and I know I’m in big trouble. I start to slip away and luckily EMS gets there right in time. They take out the paddles as they try to resuscitate me. I’m not waking up though, My heart has stopped.
