SRW491 Submission by Leglock
In this 10-minute match between Sheena and Laken, the rule was that Sheena was only allowed to make Laken submit using leg submissions. We thought this might even things up a little bit, but we couldn't have been more wrong. As a black-belt judoka, Sheena knows an impressive number of leg-locks with which to make Laken tap-out.
It seems the standard way involves trapping one leg in the crook of the knee of the other leg and then pressing down (see the trailer for a clearer explanation). Depending on how hard you press down, the move causes intense pain and a guaranteed submission.
But as we learned in the video, there are many more ways to make Laken tap out.
Some of Sheena's moves are ingenious; a half Boston-crab, twisting one leg around the other and then squeezing together with a leg scissor or applying pressure on an ankle lock (they're allowed to do this as well). However, some submission holds weren't as effective on Laken as Sheena expected. This was due to Laken's incredible flexibility; as a trained dancer, she can do the splits with ease. But Sheena is relentless in her efforts and makes Laken tap out time and time again.
We never grow tired of watching these two amazing wrestlers - just don't try these holds at home.
