It's as if my body has forgotten any other way to breathe. Everything happens so fast the smoke doesn't have time to dissipate: I exhale one puff while already inhaling the next, one hit against the other, mixing them inside me.
My lungs work tirelessly, receiving hot bursts one after another, without giving me a break. I swallow the smoke hungrily, exhale it through my nose as if it were burning me from the inside, and before I feel any relief, I'm already inhaling again. It's a cycle that won't end, an addiction that takes hold of my mouth, my nose, my chest, everything…
And I let myself, without pause, breathless, just smoke after smoke, fast, eager, devoted.
