It’s cold even inside the parking garage and I’m sitting there in black boots, already bracing for it! I turn the key and the cranking echoes off the concrete, long and stubborn like the engine refuses to wake up! It coughs, almost catches, then drops out again, leaving that awkward silence hanging in the garage! I try once more, listening to the rough sputters bounce around before it finally fires up with a shaky, uneven idle! Not exactly the smooth start I was hoping for in there!
