Description

We're now into the second half of the London Submission Room's 39th live event and it's time for match #4 featuring Phoenix Starr (formerly Amber Phoenix) against Velvet Viper. For both wrestlers, this was their second match of the day, so each had some idea of their opponent's style. But would this be enough to help them? Phoenix Starr's improvement over her past performances is impressive as she continues with her formal BJJ training but Viper has a natural style and has already learned to make good use of her long, strong legs.

Our referee gets the 15-minute match underway and both wrestlers up their game, keen to impress for the camera and for the audience. After some toing and froing, it's Phoenix Starr who takes the first submission with a headscissor/armbar combination. But the match is only just warming up. The girls reset and Velvet Viper attacks with even more determination than ever. Can Velvet Viper turn the match around, or is Phoenix Starr's intensive training enough to enable her to hold onto the lead?
