Convulsions: Beverly (CPR, RESUS, DEFIB, AMBU, INTUB)
Beverly is in the emergency room. After several health problems, she decides to see a doctor, but her situation immediately turns out to be critical. The headaches she had been complaining about a few days earlier to her friends aren't just symptoms; they're hiding something more serious. The doctors immediately realize her heart is strained, but they don't understand the cause; there's no real correlation to the girl's condition. While they examine her and cut her clothes off, Beverly has a convulsion. Foam comes out of her mouth, and her heart begins to fibrillate. The paramedics begin CPR, chest compressions, and AMBU bagging. The defibrillator is charged, and the first shocks shake the girl's body. After several cycles, the situation seems to improve, only to suddenly worsen. It's decided to intubate Beverly, and the CPR cycles continue, interrupted only by shocks from the defibrillator. After several attempts, the girl recovers.
