Carmen La Dean & Lara the Warrior – Lift & Carry Challenge

Lara the Warrior weighs around 70 kg, and when she steps onto the mats with Carmen La Dean, she isn't entirely convinced Carmen will be able to lift her — let alone carry her around with ease.

Carmen is more than happy to prove her wrong.

What begins as a friendly challenge quickly turns into a 12-minute showcase of Carmen's strength, as she lifts, carries and manoeuvres Lara in a variety of different positions. Piggyback carries, over-the-shoulder lifts and more unusual holds all become part of the fun as Carmen experiments with just how easily she can move her 70 kg partner around the room.

Plenty of laughter fills the room, with Lara clearly enjoying being on the receiving end of Carmen's strength. As the session continues, her initial doubts disappear and she begins to understand exactly why so many men enjoy being lifted and carried by Carmen.

Relaxed, spontaneous and filmed in a bright wrestling environment on proper mats, this is less about competition and more about two strong women having fun — with Carmen doing what she loves most: showing off just how powerful she really is.

He gets no room to move, no air to waste – just me, taking my time on my favorite seat.

Honestly? I’m not sure who enjoyed it more.

But I definitely looked better doing it.

And who better to test whether Lara the Warrior is really getting back into fighting shape than Andy?

You all know Andy by now. She’s incredibly experienced, technical, relaxed on the mats and notoriously difficult to beat. She might be lighter than me, but anyone who has watched her wrestle knows that those 64 kg come with a LOT of skill, timing and experience.

And because I’m such a nice person, I even decided to give Andy a little advantage... ;-)

Before facing her, I had already wrestled my first competitive match of the day against Isa Fight (168 cm / 77 kg). So Andy definitely wasn’t getting a completely fresh Lara!

This makes Andy my second competitive opponent since my ACL reconstruction, and for me it was another big test of how much of my old fighting shape, confidence and instinct I have managed to get back.

Am I really back?

You can judge that for yourselves. :-)

But there is something else I really love about this match. I think you can see VERY clearly just how much both of us enjoy wrestling.

This is real competition. We both want to win, neither of us is interested in simply giving anything away, and the result isn’t scripted. But underneath all that competitiveness, there’s also that unmistakable energy you get when you put two women on the mats who genuinely love what they’re doing.

Andy brings her beautiful technical movement, experience and timing. I bring my strength, pressure and the Lara determination that I’ve been waiting months to properly unleash again.

We fight for positions, look for openings, try to outsmart each other and genuinely enjoy the challenge the other woman brings.

After months of rehabilitation and slowly rebuilding confidence in my reconstructed knee, being able to wrestle a competitive match like this again feels pretty damn good.

My big teddy bear has already spent plenty of energy earlier in our session, and by this point he is TIRED. We still wrestle and play around for a while, and of course he tries to resist when he can... but that 120 kg body simply doesn’t have quite as much fight left in it anymore.

And that works perfectly for me.

Because this part is all about feet, foot domination, teasing and worship.

Once Ragnar doesn’t have much energy left to fight back, he pretty much settles into his new role. My bare feet find their way into his face from every possible angle, I tease him with my soles, control him with my legs and generally make sure my feet get plenty of attention.

And honestly, I don’t think Ragnar is suffering too much from his situation. ;-)

At this stage he mostly takes what he has to take... but also very much what he WANTS to take. He gets to enjoy my feet, I get to enjoy his worship, and everybody wins.

Well... maybe “wins” isn’t exactly the right word for Ragnar. ?

There’s something I really enjoy about the contrast between us. He’s this enormous guy, almost twice my size, but once all that energy is gone, his size doesn’t help him very much anymore. Instead of fighting me, my big teddy bear ends up underneath me, enjoying my bare feet, lick and sucks my toes and giving them exactly the attention they deserve.

And I’m more than happy to let him.

A little wrestling. A lot of feet. Plenty of teasing. Plenty of worship.

Yes, you’re reading that correctly.

That’s a 43 KG weight difference.

I’ve NEVER experienced a size difference like this in a real wrestling match before, so going into this one, I was genuinely curious to see what the hell was going to happen. :-)

And there was another little problem...

I had never seen Carmen wrestle before. Not live, not even in a video. So I really had NO idea what to expect from her.

Carmen told me she had only been wrestling for around two years, but come on... how many times have we heard someone say, “Oh, I haven’t been doing this very long,” only to discover five minutes later that they’re an absolute nightmare on the mats? ;-)

So there was no way I was going to underestimate her.

What I DID know was that trying to fight 113 kg with strength would be a spectacularly stupid strategy for my 70 kg body.

My plan had to be speed, movement and conditioning. Keep moving, don’t let Carmen comfortably use that enormous size advantage, and make my experience and cardio do the work that pure strength simply couldn’t.

Carmen and I immediately had really good chemistry. We liked each other, clicked naturally, and I think you can see that energy throughout the entire fight. We’re genuinely competing, but we’re also clearly having a great time doing it.

This match has personality.

When I was editing the footage afterwards, I actually caught myself laughing out loud several times because some of the moments between us are just hilarious. There’s real effort, a ridiculous size difference and plenty of action, but there’s also this playful chemistry that gives the whole fight a completely different energy.

A punishment round for the winner included :-)

And trust me, that part is pretty entertaining to watch too. ;-)

This part of our session had one very simple goal:

How many times can I make Ragnar tap before our time runs out?

No complicated rules. I just want to collect as many submissions as I possibly can.

And Ragnar is certainly not a small opponent. My big teddy bear is somewhere around 120 kg now — honestly, I swear he looks even bigger than the last time I saw him. ;-)

At the beginning, he still has plenty of energy and does his best to resist me. He tries to defend, escape, use his size and make every submission harder to get.

And that’s exactly what makes this fun for me.

Because I know what usually happens with Ragnar.

He starts enthusiastically, determined to make my job difficult... but moving and fighting with all that size takes energy. Gradually he slows down, while I can just keep working.

I catch him, get the tap, let him go (or not :-)) and immediately start looking for the next opportunity.

Tap. Reset. Go again.

Different positions, different controls, different submissions — I want to see how many I can find and finish before the clock beats me.

There’s a huge size difference between us, but once Ragnar starts getting tired, those extra kilos don’t necessarily make his life any easier.

And I absolutely love watching my big teddy bear slowly realize that there is still plenty of time left... and Lara is nowhere near finished with him yet. ;-)

Can you keep count all the way to the end?

My FIRST competitive wrestling match after ACL reconstruction... so naturally, I picked Isa Fight. ?

And yes, I made sure to take her completely fresh as my first opponent of the day. Because apparently choosing an easy, gentle return to competitive wrestling was never going to happen with me. ;-)

I was around 7 months after my ACL reconstruction, and I knew exactly what kind of opponent Isa was.

She has a very physical, aggressive style, she’s heavier than me, incredibly strong, and she certainly isn’t the kind of woman who is going to make a comeback match easy for her opponent.

But I couldn’t resist.

And neither could my ego.

One of the things I really like about wrestling Isa is how ALIVE she is on the mats. She’s constantly moving, constantly working and constantly looking for another opportunity. She doesn’t want to make anything even slightly easier for her opponent. If something doesn’t work, she keeps going, changes direction and tries something else.

She simply doesn’t give up.

At 77 kg against my roughly 71 kg, Isa also has a noticeable weight advantage, and combined with her strength and physical style, that makes her a pretty interesting choice for my first competitive test after knee surgery.

Probably not the easiest choice.

But absolutely the kind of challenge I had been missing.

This is real competitive wrestling. We both want to score, neither of us wants to give anything away.

For me, though, this match meant something extra. After seven months of recovery, rehabilitation and gradually getting back onto the mats, this was finally the moment to stop wondering how I would feel in a real fight and actually find out.

And punishment round for the looser agreed :-p

This time Frank steps onto the mats with Isa Fight — and he knows very well that he’s not getting an easy opponent.

Before the fight starts, we have a short and friendly conversation with both of them. I really like including these little interviews because you get to know the fighters a bit as people before suddenly watching them switch modes and go after each other on the mats. It makes the whole video feel much more personal to me.

Then the smiles have to wait.

Isa Fight is 168 cm and 77 kg and you already know what kind of fighter she is. Strong, physical, determined and always trying to overwhelm her opponent with pressure. She has been working hard on her strength and when she gets an opportunity to use it, she definitely doesn’t waste it.

Frank is 183 cm and around 85 kg, so this time Isa doesn’t have the huge weight advantage she sometimes enjoys against other opponents. And Frank certainly isn’t planning to make her life easy. He’s stubborn, competitive and always fights hard for every point. Even when things aren’t going his way, he keeps looking for another opportunity.

They get 15 minutes of real competitive wrestling to find out who can impose their game on the other.

And there is an extra motivation to win this one, because once those 15 minutes are over, the winner gets another 5-minute punishment round with the loser.

So neither of them wants to be on the wrong side of that result. ?

Sonya is a brand-new face in our wrestling world — and I have a feeling you’re going to see a lot more of her!

At 176 cm and 77 kg, she has absolutely amazing proportions for wrestling. She trains hard in the gym, she’s strong, incredibly sexy, moves beautifully on the mats, and most importantly, I LOVE her energy and enthusiasm for fighting.

But she is still very much a beginner. Before stepping onto the mats with Andy, Sonya had only around three wrestling matches behind her. And then we put her against someone you all know very well...

Andy.

Technical, experienced, relaxed and notoriously difficult to beat. And to make things at least a little more fair for Sonya, Andy had already wrestled a match against me — Lara the Warrior — right before this one. So no, I didn’t exactly send a completely fresh Andy after our new girl!

Still, experience is experience. Andy knows exactly how to move, when to attack and how to take control, and she clearly enjoys being the woman in charge here.

But Sonya deserves HUGE credit for this match.

She later told me this was her best match so far, and I can absolutely see why. She fights with incredible energy and determination, keeps trying, keeps moving and isn’t afraid to test herself against someone far more experienced.

By the end, Sonya is completely exhausted. She gave everything she had on those mats, and for someone with only a handful of matches behind her, I think her performance — and especially her courage to take on Andy — deserves serious respect.

She obviously still has a lot to learn, but the raw ingredients are all there: 77 kg of athletic power, great movement, confidence, enthusiasm and a LOT of potential. If this girl keeps learning at this speed, I think she is going to improve very quickly.

For now, Andy gets to enjoy being the experienced woman in charge.

Remember this first match. I think watching Sonya’s progress is going to be fun!

Frank finally gets his dream match!

Frank confessed to me that he had always wanted to face Andy on the mats, so of course I was happy to make that wish come true. And honestly, I was curious myself to see what would happen when I put these two together.

You already know Frank. He is competitive, stubborn, always gives everything he has and fights hard for every single point. He never likes to give anything away for free and even against a difficult opponent, he will keep trying until the very end.

And then there is Andy.

Andy has that incredibly effective style that I love watching. She can look relaxed and almost casual, but somehow she keeps finding the right positions, the right timing and a way out of situations where you think she might finally be in trouble. She is experienced, technical and notoriously difficult to beat.

Before the action starts, there is also a short interview and conversation with both of them, so you can get to know the fighters a little before they throw themselves at each other. I personally really enjoy having these little moments in my videos — it makes the whole match feel more personal and gives you a little insight into who you’re actually watching on the mats.

Then it’s time for 20 minutes of real competitive wrestling.

For me, this turned into a really beautiful, juicy competitive match to watch. There is plenty of action, struggle, technique and genuine effort from both sides. Frank finally has the woman he always wanted to test himself against standing in front of him — but getting your dream opponent and actually beating her are two very different things.

After watching Dexter in action, Sativa Mist couldn’t resist...

She wanted to test herself against my biggest male fighter.

At 184 cm and around 95 kg, Dexter has a clear size and strength advantage. He’s powerful, difficult to control, and always makes his opponents work for every position.

But Sativa Mist isn’t impressed by numbers.

As many of you already know, she’s an incredibly technical and experienced grappler who stays calm under pressure and has an amazing ability to adapt as the match develops.

This is a real 20-minute competitive wrestling match where both competitors are doing everything they can to win.

Dexter starts strong, using his size, weight, and pressure to make life as difficult as possible. But as the minutes pass, something interesting begins to happen. The longer the match goes on, the more Dexter starts to slow down... while Sativa seems to be just getting warmed up.

Will Dexter’s physical advantage be enough to stop her?

Or will Sativa’s technique, experience, and endurance once again prove that there’s much more to grappling than size alone?

Both competitors are experienced.

Neither wants to lose.

Only one leaves as the winner.
